An intriguing summer story comes from Slovenia, where the celiac association “Društvo Celiac Slovenia” organized its first youth gluten-free summer camp!
In addition to the well-known summer camp for children, which has been successfully held each summer in Dolenjske Toplice, the ambitious Slovenian association decided to use this opportunity to expand the activities of their youth group and enable them to participate in their very own summer camp. And the camp was absolutely amazing!
Over the course of three days, young celiacs had the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful scenery of Dolenjske Toplice, bathe in local thermal baths, and enjoy delicious gluten-free meals catered by the famous Slovenian restaurant “Hiža Fink.” Moreover, they ventured into activities such as pizza making, archery, gin-tonic, and wine tasting.
This beautiful camp left everyone wanting more! Hopefully, this praiseworthy camp will continue to draw young celiacs from all over Slovenia, and one day, from all over the world.
